“The legal service field is changing … gone are the days when high priced lawyers were the gatekeepers of knowledge. We all have access to that same knowledge now. What business owners need are lawyers who can assess your individual need, interpret the information through a legal lens, and deliver it quickly, accurately, and affordably. Legal In A Box does just that for you. If you’ve built it, then don’t you owe it to yourself to protect it?”
– Amy M. Toepper, Lawyer & Founder
Legal In A Box was created to give small businesses and startups access to affordable, reliable legal advice. Far too often, small businesses have legal questions and concerns that go unanswered. These questions often turn into larger, sometimes crippling problems, later down the line. They are always expensive and timely to fix later. As such, we set out to make the legal process easier, proactive, and affordable, so small businesses could not only survive, but also thrive.
At the same time, we also wanted to provide lawyers (often women) a flexible alternative to typical legal jobs in order to achieve a bit more balance. We offer opportunities for experienced, knowledgeable, and specialized business lawyers to continue to practice in a non-traditional environment.
Legal In A Box talks the talks and walks the walk. We are B-Corp certification pending. Certified B Corporations are a new kind of business that balances purpose and profit. They are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. This is a community of leaders, driving a global movement of people using business as a force for good.
